Steel beam as headerFrom: liner33@optonlne.net Category: Carpentry and Framing Remote Name: 24.188.114.118 Date: 28 Sep 2002 Time: 11:48 AM
CommentsIn my converted garage I want to put in a set of french doors that are 5 feet wide but I do not have enough room for the 2x8 header that would be required. I only have 7 inches for the header. Can I use another material such as a steel I-beam and if so what size/dimensions?
