Support loft in a barn type garage

We are building a 20x40 garage (barn roof) and are putting in a 20x20 loft. Can we use a microlam as a support on the outer end of the loft and another 10ft in? (II) like that? We don't want a post coming down from the loft to the floor. What else do you suggest? Curt Jacobson
