Re: Colorlok sidingFrom: info@builderswebsource.com Category: Other/Misc Remote Name: 63.198.181.43 Date: 13 Jul 2002 Time: 02:21 AM
CommentsYou are looking for driftwood grey Color-Lok siding to re-side north side of hail damaged home in the Kearney, Nebraska area. Color-Lok siding has been discontinued and is increasingly difficult to find. Depending on the extent of the damage and whether there is other moisture-related failure of the siding, you may be eligible for some relief from Masonite due to an earlier class-action lawsuit. We recommend switching to a cementitious siding product, such as Hardiplank or similar. Such products are impervious to moisture damage when properly installed and painted. The high impact strength also helps the cement-based siding products to resist damage from future hailstorms. See http://www.jameshardie.com/hardiplank.htm for more information. A range of styles are available, including smooth, wood-grain, shingle, and lap siding, all backed by a limited 50-year warranty--something you'll never see with wood products. Builders Websource.
