Ceiling fan in apartment building

I live in a condo in a multi-level building. My ceiling has steel beams and aluminum strips to support the sheetrock. There's no wood beams in the ceiling. How do I mount a ceiling fan in such a configuration? All the boxes I've seen sit between two wood beams.
