Re: Garden Shed FoundationFrom: info@builderswebsource.com Category: Foundations and Basements Remote Name: 63.198.181.43 Date: 23 May 2002 Time: 11:13 PM
CommentsBefore attempting to lift the existing structure, carefully inspect the flooring and structural integrity. Since the shed has been sitting on grade with no foundation, it's likely that the wood members in contact with the ground have rotten or could be structurally impaired. To properly and safely lift the structure, we recommend that you work with a licensed foundation contractor with the right tools. You'll need to reinforce and support the structure and gradually jack it up to provide sufficient clearance for the new foundation. This can be a tricky procedure if you don't have the right tools. Most of the work requires brute force and patience! Builders Websource
