I'm in the proccess of pouring a concrete slab using cpvc pipe for the water system. The house is 100 % masonary. My question is will it be any advantage to wrap the hot water water pipes in foam insullation that are buried in the concrete. No articals seems to address this question except to use insullation at turn and exiting the slabs. Local plumbers have never used insullation with pipe buried in masonary. It seems to me that any insulation will help hold the heat.
