Re: removing glue from the wall after removal of plastic tilesFrom: info@builderswebsource.com CommentsMost adhesive removers contain solvents with volatile organic compounds (VOCs) which are unhealthy for extended exposure. If your bathroom does not have a window or a fan, you are in violation of the building code to begin with. In any case, you might try using an electric sander on a small portion to see if the adhesive can be smoothed. Be sure to wear a dusk mask and do your best to ventilate the area. If the sanding doesn't work, your remaining choices are to use the adhesive remover or apply a liberal coat of drywall mud over the existing surface, and bring to a smooth finish. Your last resort is to replace the drywall if the other options aren't viable. Good luck and let us know which option you end up pursuing. Builders Websource
