While both wood and vinyl siding can be attractive, our preference is for cementitious siding, such as that from James Hardie Company. These products must be primed and painted, but they are virtually impervious to rot and look like painted wood. Due to the longevity of these products, we prefer them over wood or vinyl, which can eventually fade due to UV exposure. Plus you can paint it any color you want, giving you maximum flexibility in the appearance of your home's exterior. Builders Websource.
