Drywall Corner BeadsFrom: boggssteve@aol.com Category: Wallboard/Veneer Plaster Remote Name: 67.218.95.235 Date: 27 Mar 2002 Time: 07:44 PM
CommentsI'm rounding off the 90 deg. corners in my house using bullnose corner beads. It's a lot of work cutting back the corners and removing the old wall texture for the corners that do not have a bead there already (mostly around windows). My question is: how much of the old texture and corner do I have to remove so that there will be a smooth corner when I re-texture. I'm planning on using a thicker "mud" than what was originally on these walls. Also, do I need to tape or use compound on the bullnose flanges, or will stapling (or nailing?) & covering with mud be sufficient? Help Please!
