I have a new family room addition with 2x4 walls. I want to get to an R-19 insulation value in those walls. I intend to use R-15 fiberglass. The exterior is OSB sheating. I want to put 1/2 inch foam board outside of the sheathing. There is currently Tvek over the OSB and the foam board would go outside of that. I am getting some feedback that Tyvek is a "moisture barrier" and might cause problems below the foam board. I understand that Tyvek is an "air barrier". QUESTION: What are your thoughts on my exterior wall of OSB/TYVEK/CELOTEX foam board, covered with vinyl siding? Thanks
