I am building a 10'x12' deck to support my hot tub. The deck is freestanding. The 4"x10" beams are spaced 10' apart and span the 12' length. I will be using three 4"x4" posts spaced evenly per beam. The joists will be 2"x8" spaced 12" on center and will be spanning 10'. The joists will be riding atop the beam. My hot tub has a full weight of 3000 lbs. The placement of the tub on the deck will be centered on the 12' span and slightly to one side on the 10'(joist) span. Will this be enough support? If not , could you advise me on additional options for support. Thanks. Steve
