Removing Interior wall

I have a wall that is dividing two rooms of 10 x 12 I want to remove wall to make one large room. This is in the upstairs. The wall is running North To South. Hip Roof with 2x6 ties running East to West. Removing the wall would leave the ties running a 20' span does there need to be any support in the center of these?
