I am replacing a door bell. The new door bell comes with a transformer that
is to be wired to a junction box. My problem is this -- the door bell is located
in my kitchen, where there is no easily accessible junction box. Someone
suggested I wire the transformer to the leads of a nearby light switch, and then
run a connecting lead to the doorbell. Is this okay to do? The transformer has a
ground wire -- where would I attach the ground? I know nothing about electrical
and don't want to burn down my house!
