I am vaulting a second floor bedroom ceiling for a customer of mine. The bedroom takes up half of the depth of the house and is situated in the front right corner. My question is: can I remove the upper joists in this situation, without effecting the structural integrity, and if I did what measures can I take to reinforce the structure?
