Beam installationFrom: pieceof8@bellatlantic.net Comments1/07/2 Dear Builders Websource: I am getting ready to install a 10" tall x 21 foot long Steel Ibeam in a room in my house. I have hired a professional engineer to specify the required beam and was wondering if you had any installation tips as to how the beam can be handled, raised/jacked into posiiton. Any reccomendations or tips you may have would be greatly appreciated. We do not have the option of using any heavy equip, since this is a remodel. I have several contractors who are currently working on this job that I am the GC on. Sincerely, John Neyland Jr. Pieceof8@bellatlantic.net
