I have vaulted ceilings with a low pitch roof (one and a half inch by 12 inch pitch). As part of a repair job a few years ago, the ceiling insulation was replaced with 4 inch rigid board in a 2x6 rafter space. The contractor put in a visquine vapor barrier and 2 inch continuous soffit vents. I have experienced condensation problems since. Last summer I installed a baffled ridge vent. Although the amount of condensation is less,I'm still having problems. Is the one and a half inch space for ventilation inadequate in light of the low pitch of the roof?
