I have a blower fan on my furnace that is controlled by a switch. The problem
is, the fan never goes off once it is turned on. When the house heats up to the
specified temperature, the heat kicks off, but the fan continues to put out air.
I took the thermostat off and found 3 wires. A red one, a white one and a black
one. The red and white were connected, but there was no place to connect the
black one, so it is just wrapped around the casing. Should I just install a new
thermostat, or is something wired incorrectly? Please help... (ps--we do not
have central air).
