However, a properly engineered floor shouldn't sag in the first place, so you need to understand what the cause of this sag is. Has the foundation settled? Are the floor joists undersized for the span? Was the lumber used not of sufficient structural grade, such as Pine or Redwood? In any case, we think you can probably make some amount of correction to the floor by simple jacking (even if it's not perfect)...and your new wall will help to support it from sagging further.
