However, it is possible to re-level the floor joists depending on how severely deformed they are. This often involves using screw jacks, which are turned just slightly each day, allowing the structure to incrementally re-stabilize. If your new plan calls for a support wall in place, then we would use this opportunity to evaluate the pros and cons of re-leveling the floor.
