I have a similar situation. I need to install quarry tile over hardwood floors but the hardwood and subfloor have buckled and sagged. The buckles are not a concern as they can be cut out and replaced. But the sags, how can they be leveled? I plan on using a concrete board over the hardwood but I'm trying to find the most economical method of leveling the floors. Can you shim under the concrete board or use possibly a leveling compound? Thanks.
