I am building in the Mountains of VA with summer temps in the 90's and winter
temps often below zero. My home will have a cathedral ceiling, using 4x10
rafters on 4 foot centers. What is the best design for the rest of the roof and
does it have to be vented? I am considering either 2x6 planking with two layers
of foam, an air space and then osb, felt and metal roof, or the osb/foam/gypsum
board laminates without venting.
