I have an unfinished basement in my house. The drain pipes for the bathroom
have already been run under the concrete when the house was built. none of the
pipes are in the right place so I need to cut the concrete to move them. My
question is this... is there a way to tell which way these pipes are running
under the floor? I called the city and they said that there plans usually don't
show pipes under the concrete floor. I want to take extra care when cutting
across the pipes but just have no idea where they are under the floor any ideas
on a way of figuring out the direction of a plastic pipe would be great. Also do
you know if there is an easy way of cleaning off the small pieces of concrete
that has stuck on to the pipes? The small chucks seem to be on them really well
and don't want to come off. I was thinking there has to be an acid or something
that will help me get a smooth surface so I can put a connecting pipe on it.
Thanks.
