I need to re-level approximately a 500 square-foot section of my house. I believe I have most of the information I need except as to if there is a particular technique that should used to avoid or at least limit the amount of stress on the structure. Such as using more than one jack, only jacking a certain maximum distance at a time in each location, etc. I have heard that there is a device that is a system of jacks linked together, but have been unable to find any place to rent one. Is something like this even necessary? The house is on a crawl space on very sandy soil and is in the Minneapolis area. It needs to be raised possibly 6 inches in the lowest spot.
