Thanks for quick response. Here's answers, to best of my knowledge: 1) What
part of the country do you live in? Hampton, Virginia 2) What kind of foundation
do you have (slab, raised foundation, basement, etc.) Plan shows
16"X8"CMU pier on 30"X24 conc footing. appears to be 2'
crawlspace. 3) What kind of soil do you have? Clay? Sandy? Bedrock? Guess is
"sandy". 4) Do you have any known drainage problems? None known. This
is elevated area. 5) Do the doors stick year-round, or only at certain times?
Only two doors in similar locale with constant problem - 2nd floor. 6) Was the
window sill always crooked, or did this happen recently? Gradual sloping
process, that is just now noticable, with window moulding seperating at joints.
No problems in opening/closing windows, tho. 7) Are there any signs of cracks
anywhere else, such on interior or exterior walls? Some. A slight lateral crack
in wall at top of staircase. Exterior windows have needed recaulking to close
cracks around frames. 8) Do you feel any floors sloping slightly? None noted. 9)
Are you the original owner? Yes Do you know the builder? Yes.
