Thanks for the reply. My second floor has three bedrooms. The hall way is in the middle on the top of the beam. The master bedroom is on one side of the beam, the other two bedrooms are on the other side of the beam. I'm in NJ where it could have one foot of snow in the winter occasionally. If you need more information, please let me know. I'm not contractor. Please explain a little more in detail to help me to understand.
