An article in Fine Home Building says the the writer uses sch. 50 steel when
in a straight run and #40 when bending or cutting is needed. He states that
either one will work. In view of that, what difference will it make in my
lightweight house footing with monolithic slab? Is the harder steel preferred or
not needed?
