Re: automatic trap primersFrom: info@builderswebsource.com CommentsFor those who aren't familiar with trap primers, they are specialty plumbing devices that permit a periodic trickle of water to enter a trap (such as a floor drain), keeping it sealed to prevent sewer gases from escaping. Generally, they are only used on infrequently used drains where the trap water could evaporate after extended periods. Several companies make automatic trap primers. Depending on the model, there are various conditions on minimum flow, etc. If you haven't already looked, check out the models 2695, 2698 and 2699 from JR SMITH, at http://www.jrsmith.com (do a search on "trap primers" and you see these selections. Zurn also makes them at: http://www.zurn.com. The manufacturer is the best source of information as to the use and restrictions depending on the application and the model selected. Builders Websource
