cpvc vs copper

I appreciate if you could give me some advice. I am buying a new house, the
builder is putting in CPVC tube in for the house water instead of copper. He
told me that is common and it is good quality. The supplier recommends it and
says it is better than copper. But everyone I talked to all said copper is the
way to go. I just want to know if it is OK to use CPVC in lieu of copper. Thank
you very much.
