Nailing VinylFrom: CHARLESRUBINO@HOME.COM CommentsI would like to know if it is possible to nail vinyl fascia instead of snapping it into the trim piece (if nailed loosely)? Last year I had a contractor cover the parts of my fascia/soffit that couldn't be reached without scaffolding. I would now like to finish the job myself but realize that I probably cannot purchase the same material (Reynolds vinyl coated aluminum) that they used. The only material that I have found to closely match is a white vinyl wood grained fascia from Menards. They're aluminum is very cheap quality and Home Depot's products are not wood grained. I don't want to use the "snap in" strips because it won't match the installation of the aluminum. One other thing. There is a 1x2 feature strip at the top of the fascia. Can the vinyl be bent, or do I need to do this in two pieces?
