If the furnace were older, I would be inclined to hire a professional to clean the furnace, including the burner, fans, ignition system, etc. $100 is cheap to keep your furnace safe and operating in peak performance.

However, if it's only 2 years old and there are no signs of massive dirt build-up, I would do the following:

1) unplug the furnace;

2) carefully remove any panels to give you access to the filter, blower and heat exchanger;

3) use a soft-bristled vacumm to suck out an loose dirt and dust;

4) replace your air filter (if it's a disposable version) or thoroughly clean it with a hose if it's a reusable version;

5) replace the panels, plug it in again and test it out.

Most furnaces get dirty because people fail to replace or clean their air filters. With the price of energy these days, clean your filter frequently according to manufacturer instructions.

Also, if you still have the owner's manual, read that for advice on maintaining your furnace. If you don't have it, you can probably get it online or call the manufacturer for assistance.
