I just built a new garage and want to run electricity to it. I've installed 6 circuits, using#12 wire. Each circuit contains outlets or lights. I will not be running any heavy loads, and I figure I can easily use 15a ckt breakers. I plan on installing a sub panel in the garage. Can you tell me the size I should get ? I know it depends on how big the circuit is in my main panel. If for example I have a 30a circuit available in my main panel, does that mean my 6 circuits should not total more than 30 amps ? Or do I run a new line altogether ? Or lastly maybe you'll suggest I get an electrician. Thanks a million. Bob
