Copper repiping and drinking waterRusted DuctworkFrom: soonersrtops@yahoo.com CommentsMy air ductwork is in the floor of my slab fountain home. Viewing the ductwork from many of the registers yields noticable rust. In fact, the view of the ductwork from one register reflects a few small holes. We plan to place our house on the market wihtin the next 6 months and I need to know if this ductwork can be repaired or if it will need to be cemented in and a new system of ductwork added from the attic. My home is 14 years old 1 1/2 stories (game room upstairs on one side of the home) - about 2900 sq ft. Have 3 units servicing the house, a 2 1/2 toon unit for the bedrooms with about 8 registers, a 3 ton unit for the kitchen, living room, etc.. with about 8 registers, and a 2 ton unit servicing the upstrairs room (this ductwork is in the attic is has no rust problems). If the ductwork can be replaced, I wonder what I would be looking at with respect to cost. Thank you very much From: CommentsWe've just had all our plumbing repiped with copper. How soon is it safe to drink the water after the job?
