Plan to extend 19 ft. wide, 2x6 rafted, 6 in 12 pitched, metal roof, 2 ft overhang, with soffit currently at 12 ft. off ground level, out 8 ft. to cover a deck. I plan to overlap new rafters with existing rafters appox. 3 ft so sit atop bearing wall. Ext. will be supported on outer edge by 8 ft. high post and 20 ft. beam. Would like to use only two posts on sonotube foundations toward outer ends of beam. Live in heavy snow area of Alaska. Suggestions for size posts and beam I need for this? Thanks
